Donald Sterling Banned by NBA; His Racist Remarks; NHL; RQ’s (04-29-14)

April 29th, 2014 · Comments

Tonight on DITC - Donald Sterling's long running racist/insensitive viewpoints get exposed, leading to a lifetime ban by the NBA's Commissioner Adam Silver.   We'll cover the evil, awful human that is Donald Sterling, the ban by Silver, and what it means for the Clippers and the NBA going forward.  Is the harsh ruling a potential precedent for future insensitivity in the league?   How does Sterling's dismissal impact the NBA and ownership in other industries?  PLUS we'll cover the NBA playoffs, some wild NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs series including a Ducks improbable comeback on the Stars, the equally improbably series comeback by the Kings vs the Sharks and more.  THEN hopefully we hear from "Kevin on the Cape" and Random Questions.  Special Tuesday Show.

2014 NFL Schedule Show! & Assorted Topics; Random Q’s (04-23-14)

April 23rd, 2014 · Comments

This week we cover the only important topic in sports*:  THE NFL SCHEDULE!  We'll discuss the big matchups this year in the NFL along with the opening week kickoff, some changes in National Prime Time coverage, including CBS and NFL Network's new Thursday Night football package, NBC's new coevage of the Divisional Round, and ESPN's award of a Wild Card round game.   Will the defending champion Seahawks be featured on opening Thursday?   Will the 49ers have a good schedule to make their way back to the Super Bowl?  How many of the Sunday Night games will NFC East Teams take up?  Will the Cowboys still be a big draw in prime time?  That and more PLUS Random Questions in Hour 2 with Kevin on the Cape.

*I was just being sarcastic with that phrase.  It's one of many big ongoing sports stories this week.
