Podcast: 2018 U.S. Open Recap with John and Mike (06-19-18)

June 19th, 2018 · Comments

John and Mike return to break down this year's U.S. Open from Shinnecock Hills.  Brooks Koepka wins his second of back to back U.S. Open championships on a very rugged, tough fought weekend.  The course humiliated many of golf's biggests names and even inspried an embarrassing moment for Phil Mickelson when he putted a moving ball.   Was the course set up fair enough for the field or are the players right to complain about what they deemed as a poor layout?   We look at the surprises and disappointments from this weekend, including a woeful time for Tiger Woods who four putted twice, and both Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth who were wiped out in the first round.   Then, other news and notes from a mostly competitive Open along with assorted other topics.

Podcast: NBA Report - NBA Finals so far, JR Smith’s Blunder, Warriors up 2-0 (06-05-18)

June 5th, 2018 · Comments

This week's NBA Report catches up our audience to the NBA Finals so far, a thrilling Game 1 soured by J.R. Smith's bonehead decision to dribble out the ball with four seconds left in regulation, and other Cavs mistakes.   The Warriors won convincingly in Game 2, setting up a must-win for Cleveland down 0-2 heading to Ohio for Game 3.

Later in the program, a look at the Bryan Colangelo twitter scandal, involving the user of numerous "burner" accounts criticizing members of the Sixers.  Substantial evidence suggests Colangelo had a hand in all of the burner accounts which seemed to tweet about the same time.  Chris and Dave break down the hot mess behind the Sixers front office and the possible ramifications if the facts bear out.  Could this new development un-do the franchise?  All this and Conference Finals post-mortem and more from the NBA.
